The anti-oxidant power of OPCs has been reported to be more than 20 times that of vitamin C and more than 50 times that of Vitamin E. Pine bark from New Zealand is subject to stronger ultraviolet B exposure than that from many other regions. This is due to the clear skies and bright sunlight in New Zealand and results in superior anti-oxidant power.

Bark is not suitable as a food and also we could not derive enough nutrients simply by eating it. Many years of research have resulted in the production of a pine bark extract using a patented pure extraction method. This extraction method preserves the rich content of (OPCs) maintaining the product’s powerful anti-oxidant properties.

New Zealand pine bark extract powder is derived from the 100% natural bark of New Zealand grown Pinus radiata trees. It contains more than 70% of OPCs, in addition to a variety of 40 other natural components such as flavonoids and phenol related compounds. In clinical trials and basic research, pine bark has been shown to have a wide range of beneficial effects in anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular and migraine health. In recent research it has been revealed that pine bark extract enhances activity of the brain and improves cognitive function.

Conditions that New Zealand pine bark extract has been reported to benefit:

General skin health

Peroxide damage due to strenuous exercise

Oxidative balance

Cardiovascular health

Visual function due to oxidative stress

Brain activation and cognitive function

Promotion of hair growth

 References

Senti T.
